Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Glenn Pieschke brings more than 37 years of optometric experience to the customers he serves. He completed his premedical studies at St. Petersburg Junior College and the University of South Florida in Tampa before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.

A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, he served four years of active duty in the Military Police and 19 years in the USAFR at Patrick Air Force Base, FL — where he served as Chief Reserve Optometrist. His career includes 20 years of care in Central Florida and 17 years in Fort Myers.

Originally from Youngstown, OH, Dr. Pieschke is married with two grown children. A lifelong athlete, he has competed in weightlifting, bodybuilding, and triathlon, and enjoys road and drag racing — proof that his drive for excellence extends far beyond the clinic.

Known for his thorough exams and compassionate care, Dr. Pieschke is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care and helping customers achieve their best possible vision.

Optician · Makes Our Eyeglasses

Ibrahim Salman makes the eyeglasses for Villages Optical. He has worked in the optical industry for over 25 years, starting in a 1-hour optical lab making lenses and soon moving on to manage the lab.

Since then he has worked in and managed optical shops and labs for some of the largest retailers in the world, including LensCrafters, Luxottica, EyeMasters, ECCA and Sears Optical, and he has opened and managed private vision centers for optometrists and independent ophthalmologists.

Ibrahim enjoys a challenge. Low vision, double vision and aniseikonia, conditions that can come from birth, trauma or surgery, call for knowledge of the whole picture when fitting eyeglasses, and that is where his experience shines.
